Valley Brewer

Membership rules

Five rules, one barrel.

Valley Brewer is free and beginners are always welcome. There's only one thing we ask in return: keep it kind, keep it local, keep it weird. Here's the house code.

  1. No hate speech or bullying

    Don't be a dickhead

Dickheads drink warm boxed wine and think it's fine. We're not about that life. We sip quality homebrew and respect each other like civilized weirdos. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any kind of bullying? Straight to the bin. Create a safe space or get out.

  2. Be kind and courteous

    Be chill, not a churl

We're all fermenting in the same barrel here, so let's keep it mellow and kind. Disagreeing is fine, but don't turn it into a bar brawl. Debate like you're sipping an oat milk porter: slow, smooth, and with zero aggression.

  3. Wellington region only

    Brewed local, served local

Like all good craft beer, this group's small-batch and region-specific. We're talking the Wellington region only. We love a strong pour of participation, so if you're not sharing, showing up, or mixing it in, you're just stale yeast and will be dumped on the compost heap.

  4. No promotions or spam

No shameless plugs or spammy jams

Don't be that guy slinging pyramid schemes or dodgy crypto in the corner. This isn't LinkedIn. Share stuff that lifts the group vibe. If your post smells like spam, it's getting canned.

  5. Respect everyone's privacy

What happens in the group stays in the group

Like any good speakeasy, what's said in here stays in here. Trust is the secret ingredient. Share your heart, your memes, your midlife brewing crises, but don't go blabbing it outside. Respect the privacy of the brewers' circle.

That's it. Turn up to a tasting, pour something, talk shop. Questions? Say hi in our Facebook group or read more about the club.
