Valley Brewer is a homebrew club for Te Awa Kairangi / Lower Hutt and the wider Wellington region. We brew in sheds, kitchens, and garages, and we meet on the third Thursday of the month — the third thirsty Thursday — to taste each other's beer and talk shop.

No egos, no gatekeeping. Whether you're a complete beginner who's never mashed in or a seasoned brewer chasing a competition medal, you're our kind of weird. Membership is free.

What members get

• Monthly tastings — bring at least a litre of your homebrew and pour it for the room.
• A shared, searchable recipe library built from members' own brews.
• Brewing challenges, social gatherings, and an online chat for the day-to-day.
• Invitation-only Barrel Club and Commercial Club for those who get deeper in.
